Dear Reader, I have the incredible opportunity to proclaim the Gospel to those who have not yet heard in the Middle East, and I want you to join me! This is the desire of the Lord's heart- that every nation will see and sing of the worth of Jesus— and it will come to pass. The nature and expression of the final missions movement will be rooted in a priestly identity and the gospel will go forth in proclamation, song, and prayer. This will continue until every ethnos has a witness of the gospel of the kingdom, resulting in the name of Jesus being made great in every nation and Israel receiving her Messiah. At the beginning of next year, as part of my training at MAPS Global School my class and I will travel to the the 10/40 window in the Middle East to preach, serve, and establish a place of prayer and worship where He is unknown. What the Lord is doingMAPS currently has a team in North Africa who have been doing this very thing for a couple months now, and we recently received a testimony from the base. After establishing a house of prayer base and collaborating with the local church in evangelism and service, the local pastor reported a remarkable increase in salvations. In just a few weeks, they witnessed more salvations in those weeks people than they had in the past decade. This story displays the importance of creating a presence-centered dwelling place for the Lord to fuel the Great Commission. As prayer and worship rise like incense, the spiritual atmosphere of the region transforms. Even the darkest places become altars of worship where the Lord's presence dwells. Will you help send me?As followers of Jesus, we all have a part to play in fulfilling the Great Commission- this is a family mission. There are two essential roles in fulfilling the Great Commission: goers and senders. Goers are those who bring the gospel to the unreached, and senders are those who make it possible for them to do so through prayer, community, and support. Both are equally important, one is not greater than the other. As a missionary in this season, I have the privilege of inviting friends like you to link arms with me in bringing the gospel of Jesus to the unreached. I am looking to build a partnership team that will help send me to the Middle East in the coming months to support me prayerfully, financially, and in community. The total cost for this missions placement in the Middle East is $9,500 by Jan 31st. As shown above, I need to raise $9,500 by January 31, with $5,000 of that needed by the end of this month (Nov). So far, I've secured $2,250 towards this. Would you prayerfully consider partnering with me financially to bring the Gospel to the unreached? You can make a one-time or recurring tax-deductible donation with card or ACH by clicking below (or CashApp/Venmo me): Reader, I'm looking forward to connecting with you in the coming weeks to catch up, answer any questions, and learn how the Lord might be leading you to partner with me. Hi Reader, I hope this letter finds you well, and that you are staying warm and enjoying the unescapable stillness winter provides. I want to share a sweet dream I had a couple of weeks ago with you. In the dream, I sat at a table across from my sister Avila. I said to her, “Jesus spent most of His life in the normalcy of what it means to be human- living day to day as we do. So our day-to-day, our mundane, that is what He wants to talk about. That is where He wants to meet us.” As I told her...
a thought (or two) on trees My journals, sketchbooks, and anyone who has spent enough time with me know of my love for trees. I still find just as much joy in climbing a tree as I did when I was a little girl- still nothing like sitting up high surrounded by branches swinging from limb to limb. Recently, someone asked me why trees, what draws me to them? I found myself at a loss of words. But after pondering for a while, I realized that most of my fascination would have to do with knowing...
